AP400-type IP DECT access points (DAP’s) provide wireless telephony to IP networks.
Depending on the size of the wireless application, one of the following access point model types is required when using the G277, G577, or G577H IP-DECT handsets on an SL2100 system.
AP400S: For SL2100 sites with up to (10) access points and a maximum of (64) handsets
AP400C: For SL2100 sites with up to (32) access points and a maximum of (64) handsets
Both AP400 type access points:
• Support up to (11) simultaneous calls with seamless handover between access points
• Connect to the SL2100 with Cat5 or Cat6 cabling (AP400’s manufactured after Feb 2018, can also use Cat7 cabling.)
• Must be powered by PoE (PoE data switch or PoE injector).
• Are equipped with internal dual omni-directional antennas.
• Are equipped with hardware that allows for wall-mounting or ceiling mounting.
AP400 access points are compatible with both Standard SIP and NEC iSIP protocols. The G277 handset uses Standard SIP and therefore operates like a single-line telephone. The G577 and G577H handsets use the NEC iSIP protocol, allowing for integration with SL2100 system features via the (4) Programmable Function Keys on the handsets. Both protocols can be used simultaneously, so all three handset types can be used on the same system.
Each IP DECT handset uses an IP extension.
The G277 uses Standard SIP protocol, so an SL2100 3rd-party SIP Station License (BE116746) is required for each G277.
The G577 and G577h use NEC iSIP protocol and therefore do not require a SIP Station License.
The system must be equipped with enough IP channels to handle the quantity of IP DECT Handsets.
Configuration requires the SL2100 InDECT Management License (BE118720) See the previous page.
The SL2100 system software must be 2.06 or higher.
Range –
The typical indoor range of an AP400 is approximately 60-150 feet, but that is very dependent on the building construction.
Installation –
Any AP400 can be wall or ceiling mounted. Optional AP400 Desk Stand is available (Q24-FR000000136000, see below). It is recommended that any AP400 be placed at least 16 feet from another AP400 or other WiFi access point.
AP400 dimensions: Mounted horizontally: 5.75 inch x 5.8 inch x 2.7 inch Mounted Vertically: 5.75 inch x 6.85 inch x 1.7 inch
For indoor installation only.
