The G577 IP DECT handset can utilize NEC iSIP or Standard SIP technology. With NEC iSIP, the G577’s (4) programmable function keys are integrated with the SL2100 system and will operate similarly to the function keys on a SL2100 desk phone.
When using NEC iSIP protocol, the G577 Handset does not require a 3rd-party SIP Station License.
With Standard SIP, the G577 will operate like a single-line telephone, and the (4) buttons can only be used for speed dial.
When using Standard SIP, each G577 will require an SL2100 3rd-party SIP Station License (BE116746).
IP DECT Handsets require one or more AP400 IP DECT Access Points.
Each IP DECT Handset uses an IP channel, so the SL2100 system must be equipped appropriately.
A maximum of (64) IP DECT Handsets are allowed per system, with 11 calls allowed per access point, but the maximum quantity of IP DECT simultaneous calls is based on the system’s available VoIP channels.
